EPE Time Machine by John Becker, EPE Technical Editor ----------------------------------------------------- Everyday Practical Electronics, November 1997, August 1998. *** SEE PROJECT UPDATE further down! New 'stand-alone' mode files now available! *** These files are for the EPE Time Machine, a PIC 16C84/ 16F84 design which is regulated by the 27kW National Physical Laboratory caesium radio time signal transmitter in the UK. The signal can be detected across North and Western Europe, even as far as Iceland and Finland and the design uses a ready-built radio receiver module. The EPE Time Machine gives a two-line l.c.d. countdown display of the approaching Millennium (in seconds!!), and will also operate FOUR separate items of equipment, time-switch fashion, in an incredibly versatile manner. Programmed by keypad. *** PROJECT UPDATE AUGUST 1998 ISSUE *** Simpler version of the Millenium countdown, now eliminates the need for push switches if control facilities are not needed. Use as a stand-alone digital display of Millenium countdown, in seconds. Ideal for novelty or promotional items, etc. For stand-alone mode, use the files RUG810.asm and RUG810.obj. Please refer to the August 1998 issue (P.614) for other details. Note the PIC16F84 *only* must be used, for stand-alone mode.
